Ben and Olivia wanted a venue that held some of their favorite memories, and that offered a space to dive into the works of art they were so influenced by.

When they chose to get married at The Cincinnati Art Museum I knew the assignment of these wedding photos: to document not just the day as it played out, but to create artful moments where the newlyweds feel like the artwork themselves.

I wanted to incorporate as many artistic choices that I could - the white space surrounding the groom details...

little flower petals sprinkled around Olivia’s perfume...

the wedding gown draped over a panel board of Monet’s waterlilies...

intentional motion blur as Ben got ready in the gallery with his friends...

pops of color and paper umbrellas in the garden...

extra play with light and shadows...

attentive composition (I mean, this image of Olivia?? Yeah sorry I just love it)...

...and curated low-light camera settings to ensure the couple would have images that captured not just what it looks like to roam amongst the Renaissance works, but to feel like they were right there all over again.

This wedding was more than just moments unfolding, but felt more like an invitation to create something different alongside my couple—and an invitation I am eager to answer again in the future.
